Starter In, Aggravation Gone.

Finally got around to replacing the old wonky starter I've been tolerating for over a year now. Got to a point of driving around with a malllot and a sawed off broomstick to tap on it at times when it wouldn't crank. So, a used oem starter ($45) and a half an hour out of my life later my car starts everytime now for the past three weeks. Sometimes it doesn't pay to be cheap...lol.

Re: Starter In, Aggravation Gone.

I was hoping for some Rube Goldberg contraption to operate the hammer from the drivers seat.

Hmmm..let me get D17 on it. It will be right up there with his jandy water heater valve, on-off light switch Vtec solenoid, and his US engine to JDM automatic transmission work-a-round

That'd be like.. jeremy clarkson - top gear level macguyvery. lol

I distinctly recall a setup where he had a hand-cranked pump and a reservoir full of coolant to keep the coolant system full (or was it coolant circulation?) on a challenge car. That he operated at about head level from inside the car while driving. lol
