transmission
OK so I sold my civic and picked up a 93 prelude si for 700 bucks. I tot the car because the person I got it from said the clutch was going out. Its not going out its doesn't want to go in gear some times when its running. I can bleed it and go about my way till it starts again in the next day or so. I replaced the master and slave cylinder. Through out bearing isn't making noise and the when everything's shifting good the clutch will ****** and grab with no problem. I'm getting air in the lines some how everything thing is tight on master and slave (line wise). Fluid isn't leaking anywhere could I still be sucking air in the lines if I'm not losing fluid and where at.

Is fluid disappearing?

Ummmm..........
Have you checked the pedal pushrod, make sure there is some clearance --- make sure there is free play at the pedal before the pushrod makes contact with the master cylinder? Probably needs about (guess) a half inch of free play at the pedal

Re: transmission
Air does come out when I bleed it. I even bought a vacuum pump to pull the fluid and air through the system to help bleed it. Its like I get the air out and then more enters the system some how and there isn't ever a lose in fluid. That's what's making this a pain. If the fluid was leaking thats the air would be getting in.

Re: transmission
I have no idea why air would get in.......
If this is a new problem just since you replaced the slave and master, maybe one of the parts you bought is defective somehow?
For the original problem of not wanting to go into gear, I was thinking if the clutch is releasing completely (hydraulics working correctly) yet still can't go into gear, maybe a pilot bearing bad or the disc hanging up on the splines of the input shaft.

Re: transmission
If you are getting air when you bleed, it has to be:
1. Slave cylinder
2. Master cylinder
3 Hydraulic line or connector.
New does not eliminate the possibility of bad (I had a new MC from China (NAPA brand) that sucked air), but I would first take a good look at the line between the two. Look for hairline cracks and pin holes.
You said there were no leaks, but did you check inside the car? Especially where the MC rod comes through the firewall?

I primarily deal with mostly stock cars in the USA.
I'm trying to wrap my head around a JDM trans that is already known to cause codes....

it say that i cant switch it into canadian
question is that i replace the computer would i be able to use the jdm tranny in my canadian hond?
You better also ask them what a JDM computer is going to do to the immobilizer system in the car, and find out if your local Honda dealer will still be able to reprogram your keys to it.
Then find out how much that programming will cost at your local dealership.....
Plus the tow truck fee to drag it there.
IF your car must pass an emissions test, a non-stock computer might cause you to fail. Check your local regulations.
i got a free jdm tranny
Sometimes FREE isn't worth the price.
But it's up to you to decide that.

Re: transmission
Again:
Ask the JDM people that told you it can't be used in your canadian hond.
