Hello all I am new here and relatively new to Hondas. I have an 88 Civic LX that is in need of a new engine. I was hoping I could get some feedback as I have done swaps before but never on a Civic. My engine is a D15B2 SOHC with DPFI PGMFI. I was wanting to know what specific engines would be a relatively easy swap. I dont really want to have to change the ECU but if I had to I would need you guys advise I think. I found some engines at Tiger for 88 to 91 with the complete trans package for 800.oo and under. The problem is that they are dual carb ZC SOHC. How could I make this work with my ECU or would I need to change my ECU. Could I just use my old intake manifold and TBI carb and bolt on to the new block to keep all connections simple. If not what are the best engines to look for to give me an easy swap. Thanks for all your potential help.
