d16z6 to d15b7 downgrade

I had to put a d15b7 into an EX chassis. The EX was automatic tranny and the d15 is standard. Everything mechanical is ok but the wont start. I think im missing something electrical. Both are '94 Civic.

Re: d16z6 to d15b7 downgrade

I had a similar problem with a 96 Honda Accord, for what it is worth, the ecu may be missing a sensor input from the automatic transmission. If you plug in a code reader (OBDII for the 96 Accord), the reader bypasses the sensor input and the car will start and run, but you will have to leave the reader plugged in to run the car. Maybe this will work with your 94 Civic. Good luck
