D15b vtec head gasket problems HELP!!
Ok guys i have a jdm d15 b vtec with roughly 75 k miles on it
My wife drove the car and didnt realize the temp guage went up 4 months ago
Due to the water pump seal leaking .
Last month i realized the head gasket was leaking oil on the outside on the pasenger side over the tranny so i decide to change it myself.
I took it apart did a port match and then had it macined and cleaned and pressure tested. I have used 3 felpro gaskets thinking i did something wrong each time but i cant get cyl#1 to seal. I know the timing has been perfect i know how to set it. The last time i did the torque according to felpro specs
13 36 49 49 is the torque specs and it held until it hit normal operating temp then it started missing again is there something im missing im going crazy
Oh and i used a d16z6 gasket, the metal one.

Re: D15b vtec head gasket problems HELP!!
To the OP: Two options-
1. Have the heads rechecked. or...
2. Something in the block is bad from running hot for so long. First suspect is the rings. Any scoring or deposits on the cylinder walls?
Re: D15b vtec head gasket problems HELP!!
New head bolts. These bolts are designed to stretch once torqued down. You may not be getting a good seal because one or more of the bolts are bottoming out or just read the wrong torque spec because the threads are messed up/stretched.
