Won't start in the rain! Help!

Hey guys,

I just came out to my 95 Civic and found that it won't start. It's turning over but wont start so I'm suspecting some electrical problems. Figuring that this only happens when it rains (this is the second time this has happened) there must be some leak somehere right? Im thinking the distributor cap? Has anyone else had this problem on a civic or does anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance!

First fiure out weather it is a fuel or spark problem. Remember that your fuel pump and injectors use electricity too. Try and get the ECU checked for soft codes, that may point you in the right direction. Unfortunately it is kinda hard to trouble shoot when it's not happenening. Check for exposed wires (worn insulation) that could be exposed to water. Look for exposed frame metal or other conductive surfaces next to the exposed wires.

It could be that the water is causing a short somewhere.
