96 CX engine swap for 92-95 VX engine & manual trans? I'm thinking of buying a 96 Honda CX (automatic), but want to swap the engine with a 92-95 Honda VX engine and manual transmission. Is this possible?*
I want to get the best fuel economy possible. I assume i'd need to replace the get the VX ECU. Are there any other mods I need to worry about?

yes it is its done plenty of times before i previously had a d16z6 vtec from my friend's 93 si hatch in my 97 civic dx, but the 96-98 civics are obd2a and civic from 92-95 are obd1. so you can either convert to obd1 which is easy to do or convert it to obd2a which you need to add few more sensors to them but some of the time some obd1 engines don't provisions to mount those sensors on.
