future build ideas

alright cyber world im new to the honda i drive a 96 ej6 civic sedan ex with a d16y8 vtec motor and trans i brought this car because ive decided to start a project and i need ideas on where to start i want to build a motor for the track i was told about the k20a, ls , gsr or s.i motors but i want to know more before i decide with proceeding on my build i want to know prices on how much im going to spend on parts. a list for a sucessful build will help alot and a guide to assemble the build. sites will be helpful as well my goal for my build is to race it obviously lol im trying to go 10 seconds buut i will be satisfied doing 12s as well off the track..... let me know what are the good ideas and some helpful advice to make this build a success highly motivated and plenty of time to learn

Thumbs up future build ideas

In the advanced engine mod section u can find a list of engine swaps under which you may notice some successful and maybe some unsuccessful builds as well. In the meantime some pics of your new ride would be sweet. Good luck.

Re: future build ideas

You started a thread in the wrong area, I moved it at the 4th reply in that thread (poof).

You started 2 more different identical threads at about the same time I did that, so I tried to consolidate everything down to a single thread. Now they are in order by timestamps instead of reply order, so it looks funny.

Get it? Got it? Good!

Carry on!

Re: future build ideas

Just trying to make it easy for people to follow. Did you read the tread on engine swaps?

Is it going to be strictly a track car or will you drive it around as well? Is it auto cross or 1/4 mile?

Why four door that seams heavier to me also why not the sixth gen as a donor? They are smaller and lighter with a lot of the same engine swap possibilities. Just some early pre build questions.
