B18c type r swap

I'm doing a B18C type R swap with matching tranny, and want to get at least 300whp. Any suggestions on this? I would like to stay all motor, and and gain as much torque as I can while getting to my goal of 300whp.

Re: B18c type r swap

The type R motor is rare, expensive and not all that much better than a GSR if you plan on building your motor. Why do you want to go with it?

300whp might be possible with custom pistons, a reinforced block, maximum overbore, high profile cams, titanium valve springs, ported head, custom intake, hondata; basically you'd need everything possible and some serious time on the dyno and in the machine shop. If you went turbo, you could reach 300whp for a fraction of the money and have a more reliable engine.

Re: B18c type r swap

I know putting a turbo is always going to be the best bang for your $. I just don't want to be like all the other Hondas running around on the road. These is why I'm going with the B18C Type R motor. If there is really no easy way to get 300WHP then I'll just go with the turbo.

Re: B18c type r swap

Then do a k24a2 or a k20a2 swap, they're both technically more advanced motors with higher power potential than a b18c5 for around the same price. Its also a very rare swap, because of the cost compared to a b18. With intake/exhaust/cam/tune you could hit 300whp in the k24a2.

A good k-swap motor is around $3000, a b18c5 swap is also $3000.
