How to raise my coilover racing suspension?

Hello my name is Anthony. I just bought a original 1 owner '96 Civic base model. The car just turned 89K, it has a new clutch, new front fenders, new racing bucket seats, just changed oil. Only problem, it's about 2" off the ground and scrapes even on the smallest speed bump. It has the kind of suspension where you turn the coil & you can raise it up. How hard would it be to raise my car 4"? I have several old Ford trucks, but am new to newer Hondas. I also heard on here that if you jack the car up from the front you can bend the frame. Where should I jack it up from? Pictures to come soon, I promise.

Re: How to raise my coilover racing suspension?

jack from the pinch welds (behind front tires ) (Infront rear tires) if they are adjustable coilovers its pretty easy you might not even have to take the wheel off. just jack the car up and use a spanner wrench crank the adjustable ring all the way to the top (or what ever height you desire) if you dont have a spanner, you can use channel locks .
