Squeaky suspension--what is it?
Squeaky suspension--what is it?
The rear suspension on my '00 civic coupe is VERY squeaky. Every little bump makes it squeak. I know one of the suspension components is shot, I just don't know which. Struts, springs, dampeners...? Any ideas?

squeaks are usually bushings. My rear bushings get real squeaky when it gets cold. Food for thought: I changed my front bushings to poly-urethane and lubed the hell out of them and they don't squeak at all. Even in the cold.

i love squeaky bushings! gives the car character and gets alot of looks in the winter hehe
but yeah to the op, its prolly just the rear sway bar bushings. my rubber ones used to squeak all the time when it was new and i had to keep lubing them up. ironically, i switched to poly and now the rear doesnt squeak at all. the front is a different story lol.
