Found this forum doing a google search for DIY..

I own a 2000 Civic EX (2-door, if that matters), and I need some help (links, advice, etc.) with changing the bushings on the rear suspension.

Any and all help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I was wondering where you can get the large upper trailing arm bushing, i've only seen them factory and one at jcwhitney, feed back please

You can get a set from ES, prothane, or other companies. The upper trailing arm bushing is the bitch one!

that's exactly what i was afraid of, the one from jc whitney was a buck twenty, they say it's performance, i've just never bought from jc whitney, but thanks for the DIY install, that'll save me some time. Also when you take the upper trailing bushing out could you possibly use a air hammer, or a sawzaw with a hack saw blade to cut thru the outer metal piece of the bushing. Anyways thank, and take it easy

A saw might work, but you need to get the metal things out first because you need those. You also need some sort of heat. The bushing isn't just pressed it, it is glued in.

But that metal ring on the outside of the bushing needs to come out. Me and my buddy had the same problem with motor mounts for a 96 eclipse gst, they don't make inserts, so you have to take out all the rubber in the center and either cut thru the metal outer band with a sawzaw or as we did it hammer and screw driver, and about a hour of constant pounding to make a cut thru the metal bands and then pops goes the weasle, after a little convincing. But everthing about that rear bushing looks almost identical to thous motor mounts on the GST, rubber glues to the metal outer band and glues to the inner metal rod. I'm hoping i don't have two days down time, anyways thanks for the insight talk with ya later
