Hello all,
This weekend I fixed a wiring issue with with the front left drivers speakers that wasn't allowing ground continuity to the drivers door speakers. With that all squared away my speakers on the drivers door are good to go but I found out that I also have a defective speaker and tweeter on that door, lol. I went to my local Best Buy and picked up a set of Pioneer speakers in 6.5in size. Well I had to find out the hard way that they do not fit. I cut the basket but this still would not clear them and the bolt hoses did not align either. When I measured the OEM speakers they measured out to 6in. What are my options for speakers to have an OEM fit and finish. I would like to directly bolt them in and retain the speaker grille. I've read that 5.25in with supplied brackets can work. Thinking about trading in the Pioneers for Kicker CS speakers.

Also what options do we have for replacement tweeter speakers?

Return those and go to crutchfield.com. Find ones that fit in the OEM spots. They even offer instal directions. If tweeters are an option they will let you know.
