The specs says it only has 4 speakers, but under the windshild there are two things that look like speakers in the far corners of the dash! Are these speakers, but it says it comes with four two rear and two door. Dude! What are these speakers or vents!??

In my 08 EXL there are speaker there "so called super tweeters". I would think that if they say you have 4 speakers (2 on the door and 2 on the back deck) then you have 4 speakers. If you really feel lucky, you might try and remove the cover and see if there are speakers or wires there, if the wires are there buy some tweeters and connect them. If not good luck.

In the EX model, there are 6 speakers.

But really, in the EX , the 2 front door speakers are woofers only and the tweeters goes in the slot under the edge of the windshield.

You can replace your front speakers with component speakers that have seperate tweeters and woofers, and position them in the appropiate holes

Sorry but the speakers in the doors are not woofers they are more like midrange speakers, although Honda sells a woofer system for the rear deck. http://automobiles.honda.com/civic-s...ory=CIVIC09042

The factory Honda OEM speakers are kinda crappy.

I replace my front speakers with Alpine R component woofer/tweeter combination, hook up a trunk mounted Alpine R 10 inch subwoofer, all powered by a Alpine 50 watt RMS 4 channel amp.

the unit sounds great now.
