1999 Civic SI power window problem.

I have a 99 civic si and there's a problem with the passenger window. It was working up till last night, then nothing. The driver's side work fine and before yesterday, I had to shut the driver's door to bring the passenger window up or down. Now I'm desperate to find the problem. Any ideas. Thanks in advance.

This line is the clue that wires are broken in the jamb harness. Drivers door.

that was the same exact issue with my 96, it was a break in a ground wire that went through the door into the car. wouldn't doubt it was the same thing.

Finally got the time to check the wires in the door jamb harness and found that about four wires are broken right at the door. Do you know what wire gauge I should use to reconnect the broken wires. Thanks.

Re: 1999 Civic SI power window problem.

The original gauge wire was sufficient, but it gets brittle with time and flexing.
You need wire that will withstand repeated flexing.

I have tried a few scrap yard to find the harness connector without any luck and I can't afford a new floor harness. So can I cut off the two connectors at the door and join the wires.
