(LEDs)Experts please help us
Ok I see that its been years since the led mod has been out. Many of you are still soldering LEDs to (I'm assuming) make your panels, etc., brighter.
Ok now 2012 we now have the leds with the resistor already implanted, which you can buy online. People if your new to leds fire away your questions to the experts like gearbox, diskreet, and so fourth.
My first question is I bought a 194 from ledoptions.com and it fits, and is a t10.
When I screww it in it doesn't light up. (Tried both ways)
When I put the stock bulb back in it works.
Here is the link with pics
http://store.ledoption.com/194-168-1...-Bulbs-s/2.htm
I ordered the first one. Does anybody know why this doesn't work but stock does?
Somebody please reply.
Thanks.

Connect your LED directly to a car battery. Does the thing even work at all?

I will try that tommorrow cause I'm at work. I'm assuming it will work because its fresh out of the box. Did you look at the bulb in the link? Maybe its a voltage/watt problem.

NEW stands for Never Ever Worked.
The drawing looks like a standard #194 base.
NOPE, not if it will STILL light the normal 194 bulb.
Plugging a diode in the wrong direction would probably blow the fuse. You sure the original bulb still works in that socket?
Polarity, maybe...but you said you tried it both directions. Try that a few more times, just to make sure. LOL. The bulb looks the same from both sides.
Should rule that out and you said the original bulb still works. Right?
I'm no expert in simple LEDs, but I'm sure there IS going to be a simple answer.

I'm going to school for nanotechnology and didn't start taking my core circuits and vacuum science classes yet...lol stay tuned for link.

Here is a link to what my cluster. Looks like. The middle bottom one is the one not working with the 360 led, along with the one on the upper right side (facing cluster).
