Heat not working

Hello,

So recently I have installed a carPC into my 99 honda civic. Involved with this PC is a touch screen mounted into where the radio would normally be mounted. After finishing the install, I noticed that when I would turn on the heat, not warm air would come out. To check, I made sure all of the wires were reattached properly and they appear to be. It appears that the AC works perfectly fine and I am able to get plenty of cold air but no other temperature. Now, I think that it would be a terrible coincidence if the heater core was busted or I was low on antifreeze right after I had fiddled around near the control box. One simple solution could be to replace the control box (~$30) and hope that this fixes the problem. But I would rather not do that if this is not even the issue. What I would like to know if there are any specific possibilities that could have caused this to happen. In particular, it may be helpful to know exactly which wire out of the bundle controls the temperature so that I can hook up a multimeter to check for power going to it. Additionally, I do not know if it is related, but I also recently changed my alternator. I had not checked my heat since I have changed it out, but I had not thought this could be a cause anyways. Any suggestions are helpful.
