Heya all, this question is about a Honda Civic from 1996, a EJ9.

Since last thursday the car has been acting weird, it doesn't wanna start anymore, I think it's the Imobilizer system thats broken. The green key light doesn't go on when I insert my keys.

The Radio and all are working just fine, but when I try to start the engine I only hear the starting engine (I hope I am saying this correct).

Anyone know if this is the Imobilizer system, or something else?

does the green key light keep flashing when you try to start it? if so, its a bad key usually that the system cant read the code off of.

The green light doesn't go on at all, it doesnt even flash.

prolly the unit went bad then, you should be getting some kind of key light coming on, at least when you try to start it. and without the immobilizer working, your car wont start.

Ive ordered a new Imobilizer, hopefully it will work now.

I was just wondering, what does the imobilizer block so you cant start the car?

Also the day it happened, the Imobilizer light went on for 4 seconds while I was driving, what does that mean?
