1996 Honda Civic DX Automatic
So I just recently bought this car and theres a couple things wrong with it that I need to get taken care of before I'm able to drive it.
---Issue#1..I noticed while taking the car for a test drive that the steering kind of locks up while my foot is on the brake. This is while its in drive. If I have my foot on the brake and try to turn the wheel left, theres a whining noise coming from under the hood and the steering wheel tries to turn itself the other way.
---issue#2...The speedometer and odometer dont work. While the car is started, the needle raises and is stuck at 20mph. When you start to drive the needle kind of twitches in that spot.

Whinning noise is most likely the power steering pump and it sounds like it might be trying to fight with you. Check the fluid and see if it's low.

Speed sensor might be bad.
