ID:	112099Hi, a few months ago I bought a 1998 4dr Honda Civic EX 142k Miles, the car was in a pretty good condition the check engine light was on but after changing the sparks plugs everything went back to normal, after that, I made a few changes to the car like a pipe in the exhaust to make sound louder, a cold air intake, fuel injectors etc... but right now the gas mileage sucks I get 20 bucks of regular unleaded gas ($2.56 per gallon) and just last around 2 to or 3 days and I dont travel far at all just in my home town, go to my work that is less than 5 minutes driving from my house and a few other places around, no long travels to other cities or states. I don't know what to do, can someone help?

What is your actual mpg number? Are the injectors stock replacements? Does it have big rims or are the tires the stock size? When do you shift? Stop and go traffic is going to give you worse mileage than driving on the highway. Intake and exhaust changes could also hurt mileage

Re: Gas milage SUCKS!!

Hi, Colin my MPG right now is between 27-29 MPG. The fuel injector is an aftermarket one (AEM) The rims are the 2000 Civic SI rims. And I know that in the city the mileage is lower than the highway but stills my mom's BMW X6 MPG is way better.

Re: Gas milage SUCKS!!

If the fuel injectors are larger than stock then you're probably going to dump more fuel than stock, especially if your not running an aftermarket air fuel ration tuner/ecu.

Also check to see if any of your brake calipers are seized.

Is there a fuel leak somewhere? Try putting the original injectors back in as well
