transmission help
Just bought a 1998 Honda Civic. Engine light is pointing to backup/neutral safety switch. Changed it no change. The symptoms I'm having is I start vehicle and drive car like normal. When I'm driving there is a green light around the drive that starts flashing. When I stop i try to put in park it starts grinding and I have to shut off put in neutral turn key on to put in park. Then all sudden reverse doesn't work. Do I not have switch aligned properly or like a couple people said I need a new transmission? Please help. Thank you.

Re: help
What's the fault code number?
Lost reverse completely? From your descriptions I'd wildassguess it probably needs a transmission job....
You could drain the trans fluid through a paint strainer and see if solid chunks come out of the trans or solid chunks are stuck to the drainplug magnet
