Help!!!
Help!!!
I have a 1996 civic hatch with a 1.6l d16y8 I just installed the motor and runs fine at idle but if I try and rev the car it will kill the motor but I can slowly bring the rpm up if I don't push hard into the pedal. Also at around 3500 rpm if I hold the pedal the rpms will bounce up and down without moving the pedal. Anyone know what my problem is?

Re: Help!!!
What happened to the last engine...why was it replaced?
When it tries to stall out, does it lose....fuel.... or spark?
Swap the old distributor in and see if it runs better?
Just guessing.

Re: Help!!!
Could it possibly be a coincidental low fuel pressure issue: failing pump, clogged filter or injectors?
