IDLE TOO HIGH???

I adjusted the throttle cable today... much better response. After my car is warm the idle is about 720-750. Is this too high? Should I let some of the slack back out?

How is the car with the throttle cable modded? Is it alot more responsive and do you like it or no?

If you adjust your throttle cable, you car should sit right at about 750-1000 at idle when the car is at op. temp.
When you adjust it, it gives you better throttle response. It just takes the slack out and lets you get a quicker jump
when you push the gas....it takes some of the mushy feeling away. Hope that helps brotha !! Later.

If you live in Coppell, then I'm not far from you at all....I live on the corner of Royal and MacArthur.
I go to the car wash on Beltline and MacArthur all the time to wash my car.....are you around there ??
Actually I used to live in Coppell back in the day, I went to Coppell High for 3 years and I lived off of Sandy Lake Rd.

Mine idled at 700 warm both before and after the cable adjustment. I like the quicker response.
