Hoping for some help here. I have a 99 Civic EX 2-door automatic, bought it well-used, and it has apparently been wrecked sometime in the past, it has a replaced front clip. All was fine when we bought it two years ago, it still runs great.

However, about 6-8 months ago, the SRS light started coming on intermittently while driving, and now it comes on and stays on. I did the reset procedure using the paperclip jumper in the small yellow connector, it will not reset and gives TWO flashes before remaining on. According to the youtube video from vehix411.com, you can read the code by jumping the OBDII connectors as stated above, jumping #9 and #4.

However, my OBDII connector does not have a wire at #9 (supposed to be brown), the only wires are at 2, 3, 4, 5, and 16.

Is there an alternative jumper sequence? I'm sincerely hoping it's the seatbelt issue and not the airbags, Both the front retractor reels are somewhat sluggish or won't retract at all without help.

Any opinions or guidance is appreciated. FYI, I'm very adept mechanically, but I fall short in the electrical department.
