Rep Power: 0 1998 civic ex
My 1998 Honda civic ex gave me the code p1259. It has a rough low idle but when I rev it up it is just fine. The car sat for about a year but ran fine when parked. I have an oil pressure switch to put on it but just haven't done it yet. I just need input on what to do. could it need an oil change or could rodents have chewed some wires? Also, sometimes it won't even start or is really hard to start.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
Re: 1998 civic ex
Open the hood and start looking.
Is the oil level low??
Have you LOOKED for rodent damage to wires yet?
Which oil switch are you going to replace, and why haven't you done it yet?
Hard start and runs a little crummy could be from old fuel, or maybe not.
After a year, it's probably a good idea to change the oil. ....but you need to know if it's super low first (that can cause the code too), you wouldn't want to lock it up on the way to JizzyLube.
