Is it possible to put a 6 speed transmission into a 2003 Honda Civic EX?
Just had a quick question to see if I possibly could put a 6 speed manual transmission into my 2003 Honda Civic Ex, replacing my 5 speed?
If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

It spins the wrong direction and mounts the wrong direction.
All the 6 speeds I know of are for right mounted engines, and the D17 engine is mounted on the left (drivers side).
Would need a k swap engine with trans?

Well to get a 6 speed you need the type R k engine so that is going to run you 3-6k depending if it comes with the tranny and accessories. Then you will need kpro which is another 1k.
