Door Lock Issues

I have a 00 SI and when I push the lock/unlock remote it only sometimes work. The lock switch inside the car does not lock/unlock when I press it. I can lock the car manually with my key. What could be the problem?

Could be a lot of things if it still works occasionally. When my driver's side actuator went out, my key fob was pretty much useless until I fixed it.

Over the weekend, I noticed when I press the switch that's on the door, it would work the first time but not continuously. I would have to wait about every 15 minutes until it worked again.

The actuator COULD be on its way out, then. How do the wires between the door and the rest of your car look? The could be getting damaged, since that's a weak point.
