New to hondas. Weird sound when breaking
I just bought this 2000 Honda civic for my fiance. Has good mileage. I did test drive it before I bought it. It didn't make the noise. Now sometimes while driving and pressing on the brake to slow down, theres this weird thumping like noise coming from the back of the car. It doesn't do it all the time but sometimes while breaking and only while breaking. Is it the rear drums? also what is this connection for on the inside of the driver door panel? its fried. Where can I get a new connector? Power door locks don't work. is that what it goes too?

That connector looks like it's got a coating of dielectric grease (often its a yellow color when new) and a layer of dirt. Common for many connectors outside of the cabin environment.
If it were actually burned, it would probably be obviously melted.
You'll have to investigate your noise further.
