2000 Civic ex Ran when parked now won't START!
Ok so i have a 2000 civic ex coupe that sat in my heated garage a yr or longer. Ran fine when we parked it other then burning some oil. I've put a new battery, starter, coil, ign module, plugs, fuel filter, cap & rotor and still no start. It's getting spark off all 4 wires, all 4 plugs are getting gas,but it try's to bark once then it just cranks & gets slower each crank i don't get it how can i have fuel, spark, and still no start. Compression is 180 cyl 1, 180 cyl 2 , 180 cyl 3 , 120 cyl 4 , but im lost on what this could be so Please Anyone with some experience HELP ME. Can't believe that cyl 4 being that different will cause a No Start!! Was told it could be the sensor in the distributor-cyp,tdc,ckp or the crank fluctuation sensor. But we scanned it with a obd-2 and no codes. I've also checked mechanical timing & it looks ok. In need of HELP PLEASE!

Stale gas? Not really gas?

All 4 plugs getting gas, the gas is new drained tank and put fresh in. As far as scaning pcm do you mean using a jumper wire on the connector under glove box. And how would i go about checking ect temp on a honda.

How did you determine this?
How do you know if it's the correct amount of gas then?
Plugs are wet?
You mean it's flooded?
No. I mean use a real scanner, one that can give a list of live engine data.

Well i pulled all 4 plugs and there wet & smell of gas. I don't have the kit to check fuel pressure on a honda so i can't verify pressure. And sorry about the scanner ? I was only aware of a obd-2 for this vehicle.

If they are soaking wet, it's flooding for some reason.
Low compression?
Insufficient spark?
Fouled plugs?
Too much fuel delivered?
Timing belt jumped a tooth?
There's plenty of possibilities.
Or maybe it was already flooded and can't dry itself out without help. Cylinders and rings may have been washed down and need re-oiled.
It's apparently getting plenty of fuel right now, so I doubt this is an issue at the moment.
There is so much more to on-board diagnostics than just reading code numbers.
A better scanner can supply a wealth of data to someone that knows what to do with it, along with being able to make the computer activate certain things on command.
Here's some pics of the HDS scanner program I have available as a dealer tech, this is just a portion of the data list available on a much newer car
(I think this might have been from my own 12 Civic)
Dialup warning ahead!

Note that this is showing a data list from a much newer car than yours, this probably has at least 5-8x the amount of data available than yours would.....and it also depends on the scanner you have available, most aftermarket units cannot give all the data that a dealer level scanner has available.
(I'm sure that the engineering departments have access to even more data that we can't really make use of in the field too.)
