very high idle
I have a 97 honda civic, it idles very high when the car is hot not temp gauge hot, like sitting in sun hood hot, I have to lift hood to cool engine for about 5-10 minutes then car will start fine and idle right then I can get out of park to drive, it only does this really in summer dont have to many issues in winter car doesnt get to hot. What can cause this?

Kinda sounds like the throttle cable might be pulled way too tight for some reason, needs adjusted to give it some more slack.
