Bracket for fuel filter

Hello,

I was in the process of replacing my fuel filter when I drop the bolt (10 mm) that held the filter in place on the bracket itself. I can't seem to find it so I'll have to get a replacement - anyone care to share the specs of said bolt?

You'll have to excuse me, I'm a rookie not only when it comes to auto repairs but Civics as well.

Much appreciated!

David

I don't know what generation Civic you have, but most of the 10mm bolts are pretty similar in mine. Just pull another extra one out of your engine bay that looks about right (and isn't holding anything together) when you get to a hardware store and show it to them. Or, you can check out this site for the official part.

Random 6th gen pic:

Bolt and nut, #32 and 36?
Catalog says 6mm x 24mm for most of the cars, but one version uses 6 x 12.
Use however long a bolt will fit and work?

6mm is the diameter of the threaded part. The head is 10mm wrench size.

Bolt and nut #48, perhaps it's not as long as the other two bolts you mentioned. Is it also 6 mm in diameter?

Sorry, it's a 2000 civic, gen 6, I believe.

By the looks of it, Bolt 48 may not be it, unless it specifically states that it goes into the bracket. It may very well be Bolt 30.

Sorry, it's a 2000 civic, gen 6, I believe.
More specifically:
2 door? 3 door? 4 door? 5 door?
EX? LX? DX? HX? Si? CX? GX?

Your country? (I already know where you are)
Canada market cars are not always the same as USA market cars.

All the choices can make a huge difference in parts. Not all cars with 4 wheels are the same.

Yes that's 6th gen.

Look up what you need in one of the many online parts catalogs.

http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/

http://estore.honda.com/

It may very well be Bolt 30.
30 threads in to 29.
29 attaches the fuel line to the top of the filter.
