97 EX automatic not shifting
I have an automatic tranny but it wont shift on its own. I have to manually shift it down at red lights, stop signs, etc or it will shudder like it's taking off in 4th. And when I do shift down, it does one quick shudder that jerks the whole car. Sometimes it'll screech and grind but not all the time. I don't know if I should just buy a new tranny or try to fix this one..

Your cheapest potential fix would be transmission fluid. How's it looking?
