D15b swap

Alright about a year ago I bought an 96 civic ex with a d16y8 that had been over heated. So I bought an d15b from a JDM site off eBay. I noticed the vtec solenoid and the intake were a little different so I swapped them off the y8 engine. I installed the engine and it runs perfect and has ever since. So, I ran across a good deal on a 99 civic ex with an overheated d16y8 engine and bought it. I bought another d15b. I swapped the intake and the VTEC solenoid again because the looked different and installed the engine. But this time the car is running horrible. It won't idle with out giving it any gas. What's the deal I just don't understand why everything went perfect on the first swap but this second is giving me trouble. Help please! Thanks guys.

Re: D15b swap

What do you mean, "the VTEC solenoid looked a little different?" Maybe something else is wrong with the second d15b engine.
