99 DX could not start after replacing ICAV
Hi, experts:
My 1999 Civic DX was having a high idling problem, and the check engine light on. The CEL code indicated a bad IACV.
After I replaced the IACV, the car will not start !
(the car did not have startup problem before)
The engine cranks but would not start. What might the problem be? Any clues? Help please!!!

While cranking the engine, apply your foot to the gas pedal and slowly push it down a little. See if that helps anything.

Is it the correct iacv? Can you take it off and put the old one back and see if that starts again. Make sure the iacv is plugged in and no dirt or debris in the plug.

Start over as though this is a new problem.
Troubleshoot for no-start.
Compression, spark, fuel.
And yeah, try the old IAC valve.

I believe it is the correct iacv. I got it online (based on my car model/year) from advance auto parts, and it looks identical to the old one.
I re-plugged the connector as hard as I could. no luck. (I tried the old one as well)
Is there a way to verify if the iacv is plugged properly?

Thanks, ezone. which one do you think I should troubleshoot first? Compression, spark, fuel?
If I brake something during replacing iacv, which part is most likely gotten broken? thanks.
