Idle issues

the guy i bought my car from had bypassed the fast idle thermo valve and its starting to get cold out so i decided to run some coolant lines to it.
After cleaning my tb and re-tapping the cover bolts because they snapped off put everything back and ran lines to the fast idle thermo valve and the iacv and started the car cold it went straight to 3k rpms and stayed there.. i realized maybe lost coolant could be the issue so i covered the hole in the tb going to the iacv because thats where i felt alot of vacuum and let it warm up with the rad cap off. the idle was stilll high after 5 minutes and once my headers started turning red i decided to give up.
I'd appreciate any help and yes i did look it up and it always points to the iacv but it was fine before i relocated the lines.

Re: Idle issues

Noone has any ides?
i do notice that my exhaust smells now as well and is more noticably white.. so possibly my thermo valve is leaking coolant into the tb? that wouldnt cause the idle problems tho would it?
