Question I'm smart, but I know little about cars.

I recently fell into a built 99 coupe. b20 block and b16 heads, the rest is also very after market. Hopefully hanging out on the forums will teach me everything I need to know. I pick things up great, so as long as someone can aid/teach me.

I will be taking pictures tomorrow and asking questions as well. This car has been beaten up, physically, prior to, and after, me getting it. I've only driven it for about a month, and I've worked out a kink or two. Now I need help and want to generate a few hits tonight about the car, hopefully by a couple of people who are willing and capable of aiding me in diagnosing a range of a things, through pictures and/or descriptions.

very low, very stiff. handles well but i get tire rub sometimes in tight spots. little 14" enkei wheels. B20B4 block, B16 heads [will update which one tomorrow] short shifter, powerful clutch. [again, im uneducated, almost entirely, of cars.. but im pretty smart and can figure out whats what, and when something is above average]

[first time forum -ing, btw]

Re: I'm smart, but I know little about cars.

Normally, we highly recommend that people do not touch a modified car, especially none to that extent.
Only because you don't know what exactly the previous owner as done to the car.

Looking forward to your pictures, and welcome to the forum

This will help you educate yourself.

You need a torrent client to click this link. It is a very extensive Service Manual for the D-Series and B162A Si Civics.

Nice.....stealing the service manual is a great idea. And i think hes just trying to tell us he wont be bringing any threads from 2002 back to the surface. Welcome!

Re: I'm smart, but I know little about cars.

ok, sorry for the delay, waiting for my phone/camera to to get off work. @ sdaidoji, i stated that im smart and that i knew little about cars, so that people understand they dont have to talk to me like i dont get it, but still explain clearly as im uneducated in the area.
@ rekomstop thank you for that.
@kennykid i own the car now, and it looks like "touching" it is necessary. a couple of problems made themselves apparent. i will be posting and asking as soon as i get my camera here.
