How do I know which D series engine I have?

99 Civic Ex, owners manual says 1.6L SOHC VTEC, how do I know if its the D16Y5, D16Y7, or D16Y8?

I may need to replace the head. Are certain heads interchangeable?

Thanks

Wow there is was staring me in the face the whole time. I can't believe, out of all the time I've spent under the hood, that I never noticed that little number.

Thanks.

But I'm still curious about whether or not heads are interchangeable? Or is that ID stamped onto the head, I can't rly tell where the head ends and the block begins.

I know that the y7 and y8 heads will work either way, but the y8 is higher compression and has vtec, so you'd have to modify a few things to have it work properly.
