i got civic 98' lx and the left rear door wont open on either side..this is obviously an electrical problem Right??? what should i do first??

I have a 1999 civic EX and their is a child safety switch on the edge of the door which will only allow the door to be opened from the outside so your kids don't open the door on the highway. Other than that you need to find a way to get the door panel off. Try removing the handle by unscrewing the one screw and sliding it to the left or right. You might be able to find a way to unlatch the door.
