1997 LX Cruise control problem
1997 LX Cruise control problem
When its cold out my cruise control does not function properly. ill set the cruise at 55 and next thing i know im going 80. Does anyone know what would cause this problem.?

Never seen it before, but I'll take a wild stab at it.
3 major parts:
Control unit under the dash
Actuator in the engine compartment
Switch set on the steering wheel.
I'd look for sticky switches on the steering wheel first.
Ever spilled soda or coffee on them?
Then maybe look for frozen water in vacuum and vent hoses for the cruise unit in the engine compartment. Then maybe guess at the actuator itself.
Remember, these are just guesses.
