2000 Civic DX - Still won't start! Help
Hello, I am currently working on my 2000 Honda Civic DX Hatch. While starting off from a street light the car just lost power and died, and would not start again. It cranks, battery is strong but will not start (no check engine light or anything). The following work has been done since the initial break down: Distributor Cap & rotor, fuel filter, Spark plugs and wires, then I replaced the whole distributor assembly (control module, coil & distributor). Still cranks but won't start, even had a friend pull me with his truck for a start but it sounds like its running and then you push the clutch back in and it immediately dies. Any ideas of what could be happening?

See if a friend has access to an OBD11 scan tool and hook it up to the OBD port. Go into datastream and as you're cranking the engine over, see if an RPM signal is present. If not, you might have an out of whack crank sensor. Just because it doesn't give a code, doesn't mean it can't be giving mis-information to the ECM!
Good luck!
Good luck!

Thanks for the comments, turns out the original mechanic i took the car to said it had to be the distributor, in the process of rewiring the spark plugs to the cap the guy put the wires on all mixed up.
... but now the car is fixed and driving fine now.
