Idle revs in park

I got a stock 1997 civic ex, auto trans that the idle revs while it is in park. Any ideas?

I have a 98 ex, auto as well & mine was doing that until I changed my distributor cap about 2 months ago... hasn't done it since.

When was the last tune up, meaning new air/fuel filter and distributor cap/rotor/plugs/wires and fuel injection cleaner ran through the car? Surging idle can vary in causes but starting here will get some of the simpler things out of the way. Also remove the stock air hose or intake if you have one and clean the throttlebody see if that helps, if not get back to us and will try to help.
