1999 Civic Ex
1999 Civic Ex
Hi all, I'm new to the Honda forums but you can find me over at Audiforums on the same name. I am in the market for a 6th gen civic 5spd to replace my aging A4 as a daily driver so my S4 can stay a garage queen.
I would search the forums for this, but since prices vary time to time and place to place, I figure it was worth a new thread. Here is my question-
Around how much do you guys think is a reasonable price for a 1999 Civic ex 2 door 5spd, 170,000 miles, one owner, white? Blue book seems to be high 3000's, but most I see with similar condition are easily 1500 more than that. I assume this is due to high demand for reliable fuel efficient cars during this recession, but I still feel weird paying and extra 20% over kbb price without having some feedback from experts.

Re: 1999 Civic Ex
With that many miles I wouldn't pay more than $2000-2500, in excellent condition. Of course they're a dime-a-dozen around here. lol. *Ask when the timing belt was done last as it's time again at 170,000.
EDIT: Almost forgot, if it's an SI then yes that's going price- or better.
