Key Fob Question
Key Fob Question
My remote is old and worn, and I want to get one of the newer keys with the remote on the key. My question is - has anyone tried reprogramming these to work with a 1999-2000? They're selling on ebay for anywhere between $40-50 and I would gladly pay that to get rid of the hideous remote
Re: Key Fob Question
You might be able to transfer the internals of both the key fob as well as the actual key blade AND the immobilizer chip inside the key. In order to get the buttons to line up it might take some weird electrical work but it might work.
Actually.. I don't think 6th gens have immobilizers so you're in luck.
