Where do i start?

I am interested in buying a civic and not sure which one is right for me. I am wanting to build a car for speed so i figured the Si or Ex would be best? I want a civic that is around the year of 2000. Si's are kind of hard to find i believe. Anyways i want a 2 door coupe. Once i get the car what parts should i start on? Most ppl told me to worry about lowering it first but idk. Plz tell me what you think.

2000 si if you can keep it safe and find one that hasnt been molested. throw on a supercharger and youll be over 200whp. do whatever you want first. depends how you plan to drive it. if you dont drive fast around corners much, save suspension for later.
