Trunk DIY Questions



sorry pic is so bad used camera phone.Did anyone get this trunk latch with this connector for the DIY 98-01 Accord trunk latch? how do you connect it all the pics i have seen there is only one blue wire coming from the latch. the one i got has 5 wires coming from it.

2 blue with brown sdots
1 green wire
1 brown with blue dots
1 black

Did they give me the wrong one from the dealer ship?

honda Part# 74851-S84-A41

yeah thanks i called the dealer and they ordered me the right one. one quick question after you unplug the trunk light do just leave it unplugged or is there a place on the new one to plug it back in?

Trunk light? WTF are you talking about?
I don't clearly remember the install and my car's about 2000 miles away but I think it's just running the one single wire to your alarm brain.

thats a great mod. i had circuit city do mine cause i couldnt figure out how to make it work with the remote. i guess one of the channels died so they had to use some other one where you press lock/unlock both at the same time.

you want the 01, because it has the cool glow in the dark release lever, in case anyone gets trapped in there.

and i would suggest not hooking up the cable release mechanism for extra security since you dont need it.
