cooling problem
well i got my trunk finished. the amp is now under the floor with a glass window. now to help with air circulation i mounted 3 computer case fans under the floor as well and cut out vents for the air to move.
for the power i thought i could just use the power from the remote wire becuase i only want the fans on wen the amp is on anyway. so i connect the power to the remote wire and use the same ground for the fans as i do the amp. (remote wire and fan power wire each have seperate conenctors and i screwed both connectors into the remote wire terminal on the amp)
works good.... UNTIL i wire my sub in. once the sub is wired in it sort of HUMSS. its kinda weird, its like it plays continuous low bass noise on/off . im sure it has to do with me sucking power from the remote wire.
anyway around it?
is there any other wire that gets power as soon as the key is in the "ON" position that is in or near the trunk?
if i just splice the fans power into the remote wire rather then conencting it to the terminal, would that fix it?

I'd bet its because you're using the same ground for the fans as you do for the amps. I might be wrong, but I don't think you should do that. And I think maybe splicing it might fix it. But my first guess is because its sharing a ground.
