5.25 fit????

Aight i jsut did like an hour search on front fitments and i didnt find but one topic about 5.25 speakers. I really want kappa's in the front but i dont want to have to alter the hell out of the door.....no extra shaving onf the metal. I thought that 5.25 would fit in...they are a tad smaller than the 6.5 and should not as much depth in mounting. BUT............................................... ..............................................What will i need to place 5.25 in the place of the 6.5????? just a spacer??? or will i need to buy a kit for it...similar to the kit scoshe sells for fitting a 6.5 in a 6x9 compartment? Anyone play with 5.25 yet......the only other lising was about a type r alpine setup but the guy never said if he went with 5.25 or 6.5 and some alterations. Any words of wisdom???

Yeah, DizWIkeDCivic and I did the install, he had some spacers just lying around ( i didnt have any, but i think it came with them). We couldn't use the existing holes in the doors so we just drilled new ones....uhhh no clue about the model number, they're the 2k3 version of the References though.

I found a new reference today that was i think made with our cars in mind. The speaker depth is only 1 and change inches. Super slim magnets...but still with the infinity quality. These should install with no problems at all. I orderd a pair today, Pics will be posted after i get them in the doors. I will also write up a review for these speakers.

Those arent the 6002si those are a component set u are selling, big difference. the depth is a lil deeper on urs than on these. Adn u can get the 6002si off the net for under 100.
