SPL

Do any of you compete with your systems or even just get them metered? IF so, post what gear you have and your score, I think it'll help a lot of these newbies out who know what kind of results they want but don't know what equipment they need to achieve it.

2 - JL 12W3's (dual 4's) in a ported box tuned to 35 Hz
(Resonate frequency of our cars with your box facing backwards approximatly 6" from the back is around 45 Hz)
1 - Eclipse 34230 Amp (rated at 370 x 2 into 4 OHM)
2 - 1 Farad caps

no extra batteries, no special alternator, in fact usin only 4 AWG wire since the system wasn't orginally intended for SPL.

Posted: 149.8, 149.9, 150.1, 150.8 in that order (I think I still had enuf juice to get it louder but that was enuf for 1st in the 0-250 dB drag racing class)

its virtualy impossible to determine what your SPL is based on data. A fellow engineer coworker is working on a simple excel spreadsheet to give you a range. Its still a work in progress but i'll let ya know when we finish it.
