Code-Alarm Vs. DEI
Code-Alarm Vs. DEI
I was looking at getting an alarm with a 2-way FM Pager with it. I am trying to decide between a Code-Alarm system that has this or any of the DEI products, such as the Clifford RS3 or the Viper Responder. I am more familiar with clifford and Viper over Code-alarm but I have heard that the code-alarms are really good and seem to work really well. I'm just curious if anybody has had experiences with them, if so was it good or bad? Also how would it compare to the DEI products? Thanks!

Ive owned a Viper alarm before. I love my code alot more. Alot less sensitive to basicly everything. With my old viper, when every someone got about 3 ft it would start going off. but with the code they have to kinda try and open the door before it goes off. plus if you get a code, they are alot easier to upgrade.
true subrage. I have the code alarm tw1 with the pager and stuff and i must tell you that the range is huge. I can start mine from 1.5 miles away!!!!!!!! temp controlled start also. I think it's one of the best out there and i have always been a viper fan. I like the code also cause the remote is smaller than the rs3 or viper. If you got questions pm me or post here

i have a code alarm 4200, the basic alarm, and its great. nice remotes, the alarm doesn't sound like most alarms on the market and like Subrage said, its easy to upgrade.
but i really started liking that new one they got, i think its the slowlx2k2 has, 2 way paging, remote start.
slowlx2k2, does your remote have a picture of a car in it that looks like an rx-7?

I'm really very interested in the Code-Alarm version but I'm just a little worried about buying a product that I don't know much about, especially at around $500. I'm more familiar with the clifford/DEI products as I had a clifford alarm in an old volvo I had quite a while back. It was before it became DEI. The code-alarm I think appeals to me more, I just wish I knew for sure that I won't have any problems with it. Anyways, if anybody else has any experiences with them let me know! Thanks!
EDIT: Is $534 a good price for this code-alarm installed on a 7thgen coupe?
