Question Tweeters, Best Mounting Location?

Hey everyone, another question for you all. I am thinking of moving my JL Audio XR tweeters closer to the mids. The thing is, the owners manual says that these components more than 8ft apart results in both components not sounding as good. Just was curious to know if ill hear a large difference if I move my tweeters closer to my mids? One of my tweeter pods broke and I have to buy two new ones anyway, since I really messed them up, so it is either this, or buy new tweeter pods. I personally think my tweeters being in the tweeter pods looks alot nicer, but I am just not sure what I should do. Id really appreciate you alls input.

well, mounting the tweeters down low might solve phazing issues, but if you didnt know you had them, then thats a non-issue.

mounting them down low will make most of your sound come from yoru feet, most likely, yodu be surprised how much of a difference it can make.

new pods are what, $30?

i think the risks outeigh the benefits by quite a bit, i would probbaly keep them up high.

Kickpanels would be the best option, but if you want to keep them up high put them in the a-pillars.
